THE MONSTER CHANNEL LAUNCHES ITS FIRST OFFICIAL STORE

Glow-in-the-dark apparel, branded ball caps and FearWerx classics headline the opening collection

NEW YORK, September 4, 2026 — In a fitting return to its roots, The Monster Channel has launched its first official online store—16 years after the channel began as a promotional vehicle for a horror apparel shop.

A surprise Saturday Night Live mention in May drove a spike in viewership and demand for official merchandise. The opening collection features logo T-shirts and ball caps, including a reproduction of the channel’s only previous shirt: a 2010 design with its original glow-in-the-dark logo and URL beneath the rear collar. The shirt is available in unisex and women’s styles.

To celebrate the grand opening, The Monster Channel is holding its SLAY-BOR DAY Sale, with T-shirts priced at $24.99, regularly $28.99, and ball caps at $19.99, regularly $24.99.

“It’s about bloody well time—my one Monster Channel shirt from 2010 is falling apart,” said Evan Davis, co-owner and head of programming. “More importantly, the store lets viewers support our growth while keeping the channel free, available everywhere and running 24/7. We were doing that before paid streaming became the norm, and we’re not putting our programming behind a subscription.”

The store also marks a return to merchandise development for Monster Channel co-owner Joe Sena, whose horror-industry career includes work connected to Fangoria, the Universal Monsters, EMCE Toys and the zombie merchandise boom of the 2000s.

The launch reunites Sena with Steve McCarthy of Monster Ink Tees, whom he credits with helping build his FearWerx apparel brand in 2005. McCarthy’s New Orleans-area shop, which serves haunted attractions and Halloween businesses nationwide, will print and fulfill the merchandise.

The initial assortment combines Monster Channel merchandise with selected FearWerx classics, including Sena’s original Zombie Hunter T-shirt, first released two decades ago.

The Monster Channel is also working with horror manufacturers and producers to expand the assortment. Its goal is to build a destination for fans who embrace horror as entertainment, a collecting passion, a culture and a community.

“Hey, SLAY-BOR DAY is the best I’ve got,” said Sena. “We originally wanted to launch this on the Fourth of Ghoul-y, but it was a busy summer.”
